Maickel Melamed completed the Chicago Marathon in a time of 16 hours, 46 minutes. He was the last runner to cross the line, doing so at 1:30 a.m. — several hours after they stopped recording race results.
Maickel has muscular dystropy, a rare disorder that impairs coordination and makes mobility extremely difficult.
After finishing the race, he said ““If you dream it, make it happen.Your life is the most beautiful thing that can happen to you. So make the best of it.”
